Facebook - Saint-Damien-de-Buckland Twitter - Saint-Damien-de-BucklandFounded in 1882, Saint-Damien continues its tradition of vitality and progress. It is home to a large religious community (Sister of Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours) and its motherhouse. The nuns of this community largely contributed to the education and spiritual life of the village. IPL Inc., a company that manufactures plastic products, has been established in the area since 1939 and is the main source of employment. Several other plastics-related companies have led to Saint-Damien being dubbed the “plastics capital.” The municipality abounds in places that are wonderfully preserved. You will be treated to the warm hospitality of its inhabitants, whether you're at the Club de golf Bellechasse, the Maison de la Culture or various other public places.
